30 hours per week of free childcare

We are an agreed provider of the 30 hours’ free childcare funded by Cheshire East Council.  30 hours of free childcare is now available for working parents of 3 & 4 year olds. Children are eligible on the term following their 3rd birthday, so a child turning 3 in May2022 would be eligible in September 2022. Both parents living at home need to earn at least £167 per week and neither parent can earn over £100,000 per year. Lone parents need to earn between £167 per week and £100,000 per year. The sessions must be taken within the times we have agreed with CEC and include the cost of childcare only. Meals and snacks are charged separately and are payable by parents.

 

 

 

                                                                          Changes to the funded childcare program for children under 3 years of age

 

Eligible working parents in England will be able to access 30 hours of subsidised childcare per week, for 38 weeks of the year, from when their child is 9 months old to when they start school. Please note that 38 weeks are ‘free’, but there is a payment for the remaining 13 weeks of the year.

This will be rolled out in stages:

• From April 2024, all eligible working parents of 2-year-olds can access 15 hours funded childcare per week

• From September 2024, all eligible working parents of children aged 9 months up to 3 years old can access 15 hours funded childcare per week

• From September 2025 all eligible working parents of children aged 9 months up to 3 years old can access 30 hours funded childcare per week

Children eligible for funded hours in the term commencing April 2024 must have had their 2nd birthday prior to the start of the term.
